Innocent Dreams: Author Update, June 2023
I was dealing with minor allergy-related health issues during the winter and wasn’t sleeping well. The good news is that I'm doing much better, and my sleep schedule is finally back to normal.
A super short update this time as I've been swamped these past few weeks with coaching, client work, and outreach for my book. In my last author update, I went into detail about the ins and outs of traditional publishing and how the first step in that process is finding an agent that is willing to represent you.
Over the past month, I began writing a query letter, which I will use to pitch literary agents. I also worked on developing a website for the book. Fortunately, there was a lot of crossover between these two items, which allowed me to make a lot of progress on both fronts.
Even though I didn’t quite finish my query letter, I’m happy to announce that the book's website is now live! It features a book blurb, some pictures that go along with the story, and a few other details.
Please feel free to share the site with anyone you think might be interested in my story. I know that the full URL for the site is a bit long, so I created a short link that should be easier to remember:
Hit replay and let me know what you think!
Now that my website is mostly done, I will focus on sending out some query letters. As I've written about before, I have no idea the time frame for any of this, but I understand that it can take several months, so I'm eager to get the process started. Wish me luck! 🤞🏽
Sincerely,
Nelson/Roberto
