A bit of a shorter update this month, not because I’ve been busy with other work, but because I’m making a ton of progress and I want to keep working on my rewrite! As of today, I’m nearly 75% done. As I’ve mentioned in previous updates, my goal is to finish the rewrite by late August so that I can start querying in the fall. So far I’m on track to hit that goal, but there is still one more act to go.

The past month was both super busy and very productive. Rachael was traveling for two weeks, and then my family from Costa Rica was in town. Despite the chaos, I was able to finish Act 2B ahead of my deadline, which means that the magical realism rewrite is now 75% complete!

I’ve got a short but exciting update for this month. I am now officially halfway done with my magical realism rewrite! What’s even more exciting is that I ended up completing the work three and a half weeks ahead of schedule!
